This youthful Picpoul has fresh, crisp apple and a touch of citrus on the nose with tropical and floral characteristics. Planted on clay and limestone soil, the grapes for this wine have a natural minerality about them. Pale lemon in colour with a notable savoury quality which gives way to a touch of salinity on the finish. No oak and early bottling helps retain freshness and delicate aromatics.

A super crisp white wine from France's Languedoc region in the southwest, Baron de Badassiere is a centuries old producer located on the Languedoc’s Mediterranean coast. The name derives from the vineyard which is called ‘Badassiere’. The producer specialises in producing top-notch, ‘badass’ Picpoul.

‘Picpoul’ translates to ‘stings the lip’ due to its naturally high acidity. The crisp acidity in this wine brings with it a more citrus-driven edge, which lingers nicely on the finish, leaving you wanting to take another sip.

A great companion for fresh seafood and shellfish, salads and other fresh, light dishes.
